Job Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Project Activities as per the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) by maintaining high standards.
  • Innovation, Planning and Implementation of climate-smart livelihood solutions and disaster-resilient shelter.
  • Incorporate relevant new technologies and update the system/process, methodologies, and tools for Livelihood options, Shelter repair/reconstruction & Community capacity.
  • Work closely with identified stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective engagement in project implementation.
  • Documentation, Reporting and Knowledge Management.

Job Description

CARE Bangladesh is seeking a dedicated and passionate Upazila Project Officer to spearhead efforts under the Nature Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh (NABAPALLAB) project. About the Position: This role is vital for the successful implementation of project activities aimed at changing the lives of vulnerable communities. The successful candidate will work closely with government bodies and stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. Implementation of Project Activities: Carry out project activities according to the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP). This includes planning, monitoring, and reporting on project performance. Innovative Climate Solutions: Implement climate-smart livelihood solutions and advocate for disaster-resilient shelter practices. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with identified stakeholders to ensure efficient project engagement. Documentation and Reporting: Support data collection and knowledge management efforts, ensuring timely reporting to donors. Capacity Building: Conduct training and orientation sessions for target community members and partners. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Fisheries, Civil Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Disaster Management, or other relevant fields. 4-5 years of experience in agriculture extension, climate adaptation, or similar programs. Strong communication skills in both English and Bangla. Proficiency in MS Office and digital communication tools.
