Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all over welfare activities as per Bangladesh Labor Law-2006 and Labor Rules 2015 & 2022.
- Prepared for any kind of compliance audit as per buyer COC & standard.
- Arrange routine welfare meetings and Training, such as Orientation, Grievance, OHS, etc.
- Ensure grievance management system as per BLC.
- Establish effective both way flow of communication between management and workers and hold consultations with a view to maintain harmonious relations between the management and workers.
- Look after the provision of amenities such as dining, adequate wash room facility, drinking water, etc.
- Advise and brief workers on the proper use of PPE, machine guard, sanitation, fire safety and others health and safety related issues.
- Maintain compliance as per compliance guidelines and company policy.
- Conduct awareness training programs on rules and regulations as per Buyer`s Code of Conduct & law of the country.
- Conduct orientation for new employees.
- Organize welfare committee meetings, WPC, and Grievance meetings, preparing minutes and circulating.
- Take care of workers, special care of pregnant & injured workers.
- Counseling and follow up pregnant workers.
- Ensuring Maternity benefits as per Labor Law.
- Update to management all compliance reports in regular interval etc.

Masco Group, a leading 100% Export Oriented Composite Knit Garments manufacturer located in Gazipur, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Welfare Officer to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring compliance with Bangladesh labor laws and enhancing the welfare of our employees. About the Job The Welfare Officer will oversee various welfare activities aligned with the Bangladesh Labor Law-2006 and Labor Rules of 2015 & 2022. The primary responsibilities include: Ensuring proper compliance audit preparations per buyer’s Code of Conduct & standards. Arranging routine welfare meetings and training sessions such as orientation and grievance handling. Managing the grievance system in accordance with the BLC regulations. Establishing effective communication between management and workers to maintain harmonious relations. Supervising amenities provided for worker welfare, including dining and sanitation facilities. Advising workers on using personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining health and safety protocols. Conducting training programs on workplace regulations and laws. Organizing welfare committee meetings and taking care of workers, especially pregnant and injured ones. Keeping management updated on compliance reports at regular intervals. Requirements The ideal candidate should possess: At least a Bachelor’s or Honors degree. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the garments or related sectors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bengali. Typing skills in Bengali and the ability to work under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration. Gender: Female candidates only. Age: At least 26 years.
