Job Description
Are you passionate about ensuring the welfare and safety of workers in the workplace? We are looking for a dedicated Welfare Officer to join our team at Sepal Group, based in Gazipur, Bangladesh. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in fostering a healthy and safe environment for our employees. Form committees (PC and safety) and follow up on meeting agendas, improvements, and record keeping. Conduct training for all employees and maintain a registration system. Develop strong worker-owner relationships and enhance communication. Ensure the proper classification of employees. Work with compliance in health and safety regulations, including OSH, Chemical, fire, and electrical safety. Ensure all welfare activities comply with Bangladesh Labor Law-2006 and Labor Rules 2015. Oversee the provision of necessary amenities such as dining facilities, toilets, and drinking water. Advise and educate workers on the use of PPE, machine guards, and fire safety. Conduct orientation for new employees. Ensure timely and accurate salary payments. Safeguard against any form of abuse in the workplace. Ensure all employees' rights are upheld under labor laws. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Honors degree is preferred. At least 3 years of experience in the garments sector or a group of companies.
